Mike and Amy King have assisted numerous seniors in transitioning to their next home. King Real Estate works with senior clients who have homes for sale in Silver Spring, Layhill, Olney, Bethesda, Brookeville, Rockville, and many other areas in Montgomery and Howard counties.
Seniors typically require more assistance and a higher level of service than young buyers and sellers. The initial consideration and decision to relinquish the “family homestead” and move to a senior community can be stressful and emotional. The customers’ family members are often involved in the initial decision, and the numerous activities required in preparing the home for sale. Moving is a physically demanding effort and older people need help. Mike and Amy King have repeatedly demonstrated that their customer centric approach to real estate sales works extremely well for seniors.

These relationships require more time and attention to detail. Mike and Amy often visit with seniors numerous times before preparing the documents required to place the house on the market. The extent to which Mike and Amy are involved in the decluttering and property preparation activities varies from customer to customer. “Some seniors need lots of hand-holding. They may not have children or other family members that are able to assist. So we provide the additional help.”

As in any real estate transaction, communication is critical. Mike and Amy King update customers consistently regarding all aspects of the sales effort. From status reports on repairs and preparations prior to the sale to tracking the buyers’ loan and ensuring buyers comply with the terms of the sales contract, Mike and Amy personally monitor these activities and routinely update the sellers and their designees.
